Cloud Security Specialization Launched

The University of Minnesota now offers a Cloud Security specialization through Coursera. It contains four courses (the fourth should be finished in early 2021). While the University does not offer course credit for completing the specialization, I am using it as the basis for a graduate course this spring, offered as part of the Master of Science in Software Engineering.

A learner may complete the specialization without spending additional money on textbooks or other resources. It is true, however, that the concepts in this course are also covered in my textbook Elementary Information Security. Learners may find it useful to buy the book.

I started developing this specialization a few years ago, and the process took much longer than I expected. Online courses pose an interesting opportunity to try different ways of teaching technical materials.
